TOP DEFINITION
A colloquial term for the barbecued chicken sold by street vendors, especially in townships. It's usually grilled on an open fire roadside, often kicking up dust – hence the name. It's cheap, tasty, and served on the go.
"We stopped at a stall in the township and bought some chicken dust for lunch – it was spicy, smoky and absolutely delicious right off the grill."
