"Kwaai" in Afrikaans originally means angry, but slang-wise it has come to mean "cool" or "excellent." So "kwaai vibes" means really good/cool vibes or atmosphere. Often used by younger people to praise something stylish or fun.
"The new lounge has kwaai vibes – nice music, friendly crowd, and the decor is on point. I think it'll become our regular Friday hangout."
