Mari definition 1
A hugely popular Creole intensifier meaning 'very' or 'extremely'. It's placed before adjectives (from French marier – to marry, but doesn't mean that in Creole). For example mari bon = 'so good,' mari cool = 'super cool.' Mari can emphasize anything positive or negative.
"Manzé-la mari bon sa! (This food is so good!)"
