Swahili for 'eat fare'. A humorous phrase describing a scenario (common in Kenya) where a guy sends a girl transport money for a date, but she doesn't show up and just keeps the money. Amekula fare means 'she ate/consumed the fare,' i.e. she pocketed the cash.
"Bro, huyo dame alikula fare yako – hakutokea ata kidogo. (Translation: Bro, that girl literally 'ate your fare' – she didn't show up at all.)"
